Division I top seed Bellarmine was just 7-7 in the West Catholic Athletic League. But as we have seen through the first two rounds of the CCS playoffs, it has justified its No. 1 seed.
Seven of the eight teams from the WCAL made the playoffs. And all seven are still alive for this week's semifinals. Bellarmine defused Santa Clara by 33 points on Saturday.
Salinas has faced Bellarmine in the CCS finals twice in the last eight years, including 2009, when it feel 65-36.
