How does Monterey end up with an 8 seed while Valley Christian, a team Monterey thoroughly outplayed and had beaten until a brain cramp at the end of the game, end up with a 4 seed? How much of the seeding is actual basketball knowledge and how much of it is politicking?

I think Monterey should hav gotten higher seed. VC had better wins against stronger competiton and Monterey really didn't have any strong wins is only reason I could see VC seeded higher. VC defeated Monterey another factor although probably not much a factor. Monterey need to up nonleague early schedule. They had good Antelope team that they lost too, and didn't defeat VC. I stillthink Monterey should have been seeded higher and winning league should give them home field.
