with all due respect, I feel that the girls team rankings are inadequately calculated. I believe that all you do is look at the mbaypreps website and use team win-loss records to determine your list. It would be more accurate and much more appreciated if you took into consideration who those wins and losses were against and the difficulty of each teams scheduled opponents. A win versus soledad should be considered different than a tie versus hollister, for example.
No. What I'm trying to do is give your sport a little more coverage. My hunch is these rankings will change frequently over the course season. Is there anyone else in the county giving you soccer rankings?
Ryan Wallace of the salinas Californian seems to have a more accurate gauge to the local prep soccer. Check out his December 15, 2011 article.
Ryan is a great guy. But how about my boys rankings? How they look?
Your boys rankings seem spot on for the most part. North County and Alisal should have good seasons this year. Also, Stevenson will most likely win the MTAL on the girls side. But what about the TCAL, the most competitive league in the county? Ryan Wallace was accurate with the Gilroy-Hollister-Salinas rankings.
