Saturday morning thoughts
Marcus Hughes is a nice addition to the Seaside roster. The Illinois transfer is dynamic on defense in harassing guards. And he provides points off the bench. One more thing. He's a senior, one of only three on the roster.
I want to know why Monterey got stuck facing Antelope in the first round of the Carmel Basketball Invitational?
I'm curious to see how 6-2 North Salinas responds today against Escalon after a running clock was used in a loss to Antelope.
Anyone notice that Alisal's boys soccer team knocked off the nations No. 11 ranked team in De La Salle on Friday?

Didn't notice it, but it doesn't surprise me. We have some of California's best soccer here on the Central Coast, but we hardly get any run because our schools are not big named, famous places like De La Salle, Long Beach Poly, or even Servite. Too bad there is no state tournament for soccer like there is for Basketball and Volleyball.
