Palma football to practice

Palma will hold two practices this week in the event it gets selected to take part in the State Division III title game.
A decision won't come down until this Sunday when all section title games are completed.
Head coach Jeff Carnazzo will allow players playing winter sports to practice with their respective teams this week as well.

I guess that's the safe thing to do, but the season is over for Palma football. No question. Palma doesn't have as good a case as either Marin Catholic or Campolindo. MC is undefeated and defeated Vacavilles (San Joaquin section DII champ and Saint Ignatious CCS D3 champ). Campolindo would have defeated MC, but also decisively defeated Cardinal Newman (a team Palma tied) and is also undefeated if they win NCS final and will have defeated Marin Catholic above. Palma hass a loss (Hollister elimited early in Open divivon) and a tie (Cardinal Newman which Campo defeated). Palma wins over St Francis and St Joe's are not considered as good as other candidates, because SF and SJ rcoreds were not that great, and both were either eliminated in playoffs or didn't get in. Palma will end as #3-#4 ranked D3 team in norcal as far as ranking and will miss out on bowl to above two teams. If Encinal won, I would have Palma continue practicing. The practice will be a waste for the bowl, but maybe good to get the team focused to work harder for next year because they will see they almost but not uite made it this year. Good year though. Just wish they played Open division.
