Hartnell (8-3)
Closing the season with five straight wins, a share of the Coast Conference title and a bowl win earned the Panthers a state ranking.
The last time Hartnell won a bowl game, current Saints all-pro guard Carl Nicks was in the trenches. I don't see another six-year bowl drought.
When four players turned down scholarships to return to Hartnell for their sophomore years, it showed all far the program has come in terms of respect. That carries a lot of weight in recruiting. Final grade: A.
