Has there ever been a program that gets less respect for having won 11 or more games three straight years?
Yeah, Palma, when it ran through the Mission Trail Athletic League from 1986 to the late 1990's.
That's what happens when you dominate a league. You become a villain.
Still, you can't ignore the fact that Carmel nearly scored 700 points this year, reaching its third straight CCS Division IV finals. Five of its games had a running clock in the fourth quarter.
There is no shame in falling to Palma. And I've got news for the rest of the MTAL. This program is not falling back to the pack anytime soon. Final grade: A.
