After dropping their first two games of the year, the Balers went eight straight weeks without suffering a loss, capturing the final Tri-County Athletic League title with a 13-12 win over Palma.
No, the Balers didn't look good in falling 36-0 to Mitty. But I attribute more of that to a hangover effect of an emotional win over Palma, and being thrown into the Open Division unexpectedly.
San Benito's defense allowed just 36 points in six TCAL games. What's scary is 32 players should be back next year. Final grade: A.
