North Salinas (1-9)
Back-to-back 1-9 seasons has North Salinas headed to the Monterey Bay League's 'B' division next fall with mixed emotions. Head coach Steve Zenk did not ask to be moved.
This could be a brief stay in the 'B' division for the Vikings, who had 16 sophomores on the varsity and could return 35 players from this year's team.
Growing pains were expected. Seven straight losses to close the season was not. So, was there enough progress to create hope for next year? Absolutely. Final Grade: C minus.

Really? i find it hard to belive that all the coaches and AD,s felt a school that has produced some of the greatest teams and athletes this county has seen should be down in the B division with out any input from the coach. didnt they just win the tcal 2 years ago?
