Just two players are back from last years MBL tournament championship team. Two.
But hold off on those eulogies for the Spartans.
This is still a program with a lot of athleticism, quickness and tradition, led by play making guard Joseph Jakubowsky, who spent the first month of the season heeling a severe ankle sprain from football.
I don't put much stock into non-league records -- good or bad. But I do gauge progress and Seaside has taken steps in the right direction.
Still cracking the top two in the MBL this year will be a tall order.
