Salinas-Palo Alto volleyball

A monumental task awaits Salinas as it travels to face top seed Palo Alto tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the CCS Division I semifinals at Milpitas High.
 Palo Alto is 31-3, having fallen to one CCS opponent this year. The defending State Division I champs possess a roster with six players standing 6-feet or taller.
 It has compiled over 1,200 kills this year. Someone for Salinas has got to get in front of 6-foot-5 middle blocker Melanie Wade and attempt to get a hand on the ball.
 The Cowboys are going to have to get tips at the net and play great defense in the back row. This is a battle of the last two CCS Division I champions.
