Rivalry games

Take a look at tonight's crowds at Carmel-Pacific Grove, Seaside-Monterey and San Benito-Palma.
Then look at the crowds for just the local team the following week in the postseason.
It's not even close.
In fact, the only time a county team draws a crowd that could be comparable to a rivalry game is if they reach the CCS title game.
Rivalry games are as big as they were 50 years ago on campus and in communities.
