I think Palma is going to go right at Carmel's front four and attempt to establish time consuming drives to keep Devin Pearson off the field.
The Padres defense has prided themselves on creating turnovers or getting stops in the red zone. But if Palma goes on five and six minute drives, the Padres offense will be limited.
Jack Meyers runs as well as anyone between the tackles. And Marcus Washington provides quickness to the outside. If Washington gets into open space, he's gone.
I also expect to see the Chieftains throw the ball deep on occasion to 6-foot-6 Noah Allen or hit 6-5 tight end Cameron Neff on crossing patterns.
This offense is more balanced than people think.
