The Chieftains rich playoff history began with a 2-7 start. Since then Palma is 37-11-1 with 10 titles.
Carmel dropped its first seven playoff games. Since then it's 5-1 with one section title.
The 39 overall wins by the Chieftains is the third most in CCS history, behind Los Gatos' 52, Bellarmine's 47 and Oak Grove's 46.

Make that 7-1 under Anderson. Scotts Valley, TKA x2, Menlo x2, HMB, and MVC.
I did not add this year. But you are correct
St. Francis is the most decorated football program in the CCS - they have to be #1 in wins.
St Francis has the most CCS football titles (I believe 14), but they also have been very inconsistent in the playoffs Calcagno retired. St Francis isn't number one in total wins. They really haven't done much over the last 10 years and longer while the others have continued in the 2000's. I believe St Francis is after Oak Grove overall. Palma has had a draught as far as title the last few years or getting poast the first round of the Open Division. Palma and Los Gatos have had the advantage of playing in lower divisions playoffs for many years (Los Gatos more so).
