Hartnell-MPC football

 Monterey Peninsula College (7-2) vs. Hartnell (6-3) at Salinas High Stadium, 6 p.m.
 At stake is a bowl bid for the winner. While MPC has already clinched no worse than a share of the conference title, the Panthers can stake a claim in it with a win. The game will pit MPC quarterback David Fales against his brother, Hartnell quarterback Austin Fales. The Panthers Alvin Jelks is third in the state in rushing with 1,280 yards and touchdowns (16). David Fales is fifth in the state in passing yards (2,352) and sixth in touchdowns (26). Hartnell defensive lineman Juan Pacheco is fourth in the state in sacks (10.5). During its three game winning streak, Hartnell has outscored the opposition 124-13. MPC has outscored  opponents 102-41 in the first quarter.
