The former Salinas High forward and Herald Player of the Year has verbally committed to play basketball in 2012 for the University of San Francisco.
The 6-foot-8 Rogers will spend this season at Cabrillo College before transferring to USF. Last year the just turned 18-year-old averaged nearly 15 points and 12 rebounds a game for Salinas.
