It could happen.
Don't be surprised if Palma doesn't opt up for the Open Division on Sunday.
And you know what, Palma shouldn't. There is nothing wrong with them remaining in the division they belong in. Every other team outside the CCS stays put in the playoffs.
Personally I'd like to see a Palma-Carmel meeting.
I want to see if Carmel can play with an elite team.

If Palma doesn't opt up, the small school playoffs first and second rounds would be a joke. No benefit to Palma staying down this year- maybe next year. Definately a benefit for Carmel if they face and Carmel wins and Cardinal Newman wins NCS. Could put Carmel in bowl. Palma probably plays Serra to open Open Divivion is Serra opts up.
