CSUMB women's basketball

How does a program that returns the core of its squad from last seasons NCAA Division II Tournament team feel about not getting a national pre-season ranking?
It goes out and starts the season 2-0 after a 70-67 win over Colorado State-Pueblo Wednesday in the Otter Thanksgiving Classic -- setting a pair of single-game records in the process.
Erika Ward has covered nicely from a torn ACL last year, breaking the school record with six 3-point goals last night. And Kris King had six of the teams school record 15 steals.
Former Santa Catalina standout Taylor Fox produced two points off the bench for Colorado State-Pueblo, who will face Simon Fraser on Friday at CSUMB.
