Sports Illustrated has tabbed De La Salle of Concord as the No. 2 ranked team in the nation behind Don Bosco Prep of Ramsey, New Jersey
The Spartans will visit No. 7 St. Thomas Aquinas of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on Sept. 23.
Seven years ago, Palma played De La Salle to a 7-7 tie on Sept. 18 at the Salinas Sports Complex.
De La Salle is the only California team ranked in SI. Two schools from Florida and two from Texas make up the Top 10.

On Week 1 - DLS plays against CCS Bellarmine who is also ranked nationally by Rivals. Rivals ranks the Bells #3 in state in preseason and in top 50 nationally. Bells are a team Palma (or possibly a Salinas or San Benito) could potentially face in the CCS Open division if they make the divivon (which they are expected). Bells return 18 starters from last season.
