The one-time Seaside quarterback had an auspicious debut on Friday with Tampa Bay, recovering a fumble in a 25-0 win over Kansas City.
Foster started the game as Tampa Bay's middle linebacker.

That was ugly. I didn't realize they allowed teams to blitz on defense. 9ers were totally unprepared for that. Kind of dangeorus for the QB. Maybe they should phase in blitzing. Those o-linemen were not prepared at all for the blitz packages by New Orleans. Niner yound o-line is going to have to mature fast or else they are going to be terrible on offense. Hopefully they look better next week. Defense actually looked better than expected at least starters although NO was vanilla on offense. Kapernick looks like he is super athletic, but he needs at least a couple years to learn. Alex smith didn't have any time, but he still looks mechanical out their. Hopefully the change in HC will give his carrer life, but it looks like offense is going to be mediocre with him (and he's the best option right now). It may be another long season.
