Mason Foster to start

 Rookie third round draft choice Mason Foster will start in Tampa Bay's preseason opener on Friday at Kansas City at middle linebacker.
 The 6-foot-2, 248-pound Seaside product is one of four players in Monterey County in the NFL, joining New Orleans all-pro guard and North Salinas alum Carl Nicks, North Salinas grad and Jacksonville special teams veteran Kassim Osgood and Salinas product and Green Bay lineman Evan Smith.
