As many as 30 former players from the 2009 and 2010 Carmel football teams are expected to gather today at Carmel High to celebrate the life of former teammate Keenan Lucero, who was killed Saturday in a car accident.
According to Carmel head football coach Golden Anderson, several former players have asked if they can address the team after today's first practice to talk about Lucero's importance to the program.
Lucero was the Mission Trail Athletic League's Lineman of the Year in 2009. A moment of silence was held before school started today at Carmel High.
