Jamboree or scrimmage

Jamborees or scrimmages.
What's better?
Depends on which coach you talk to.
One veteran coach, who is in a jamboree over the next two weeks, told me he tried to find an opponent to scrimmage.
Scrimmages enable coaches to be more hands on. But jamborees have more of a game feel. There are fans in the stands. It's played in the evening. And you're running up against more than one team.
Because teams are so vanilla, I'm not sure how much we learn. Sometimes it's a false perception. I've seen teams look great in a jamboree and flame out in the regular season.
But for the first time since practice started, there is a different colored helmet on the other side to hit.

I think for the lower levels like Frosh they are good. Palma Frosh will be playing in Santa Cruz Jamboree (Varsity and JV will do their annual Wilcox High scrimmage). Like you said, it gives a game atmoshere and also you can see the other teams. I think a scrimmage is better work for Varsity and even JV.
