The Giants finally did something to shake up their roster, releasing Aaron Rowand and Miguel Tejeda, and bringing up first baseman Brett Pill and his 107 RBI from Fresno.
Management sent a message to a core of aging veterans (Aubrey Huff) in releasing Rowland, who is owed $12 million next year. But why did this take so long?
These moves don't necessary make the Giants lineup better.
And does this mean center fielder Andres Torres and his .228 batting average will remain in the leadoff role.
I can think of three more veterans I'd release today.
