Is Barry Zito done as a Giants pitcher?
Placed back on the disabled list, the highest paid Giant likely will not throw another pitch this season.
So, should the Giants just cut their losses? Two years and $34 million is a lot to eat. The only way another team takes him off their hands is if the Giants pay for most of that salary in a trade.
I think Zito can still pitch, but it will have to be with an American League team. His most effective efforts this year came against AL teams.
Zito is a classy professional. But he's keeping another deserving player off the roster
