Devin Pearson, Carmel: Threw for over 2,700 yards and rushed for 1,093 last fall.
Jack Powers, Palma: A demon on defense, who is going to stop the 6-foot-6 junior coming off the edge?
Shawn Katoa, Monterey: Was arguably the best defensive player in the area last year as a sophomore.

im telling you guys better keep your eyes peeled for mike lopez north monterey county high school. best all around player in the county hands down....... he is a human highlight tape man
Powers is a solid player but maybe not even a top 3-4 player in his own class - that 2013 class is absolutely loaded. Hidelv Manzur is a beast and should dominate both sides of the ball. Jack Ross is a phenomenal two-way player - look for big things from him this year. Rumor has it Palma may move Cameron Neff back to defense after making all-league TE as a soph. Kid was devensive MVP of this 2013 class as freshmen on that 10-0 team that gave up like 6 points all year. Noah Allen can out-jump anyone for the ball and should be much improved. Mathias Lopez and Spencer Sealey return to the line; Sealey has a D1 frame. Should be a fun year for Palma fans.
We didn't say these were the best players. Just players to watch
All 3 good players no doubt.
