TCAL football

A little extra time makes you do silly things.
Here's my pre-season projected finish for the TCAL.

 1. Palma: Could field its best team since winning a CCS title in 2003.
 2. San Benito: Numbers alone make them a threat.
 3. Salinas: Needs to avoid another slow start.
 4. Alvarez: Came within a game of making the playoffs last fall.
 5. North Salinas: Endured growing pains last year.
 6. Alisal: Some talent at the skilled positions.
 7. Gilroy: Feeling the loss of students to Christopher.

Pretty much agree at the top 4. Maybe Alisal at 5 with a very young North High...Gilroy may be better than expectedas well (maybe at 5). If Palma QB steps up (senior or Junior), they coule be best in a long time. Defense is going to be very good. Agree with San benito at 2 (talented juniors and always seem to play great defense), but looks like Salinas is working on passing attack which will help offense. If they play good defense, they could be very good. TE is getting some attention. Alvarez is going to be interesting. They have some real impact players and could get some upsets. Will they make the playoffs? I hope so.

Palma O-line should be ridiculous this year - Jack Myers is going to have a lot of fun behind this group. Hollister is always tough - they are gong to be really good next year with that loaded 2014 class. Good luck to all TCAL teams.
