Keep an eye on the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft over the next two days.
Four names that could pop up include Monterey Peninsula College shortstop Michael Aldrete and pitcher Nick Grim, Hartnell pitcher Michael Jensen and former Carmel High and Virgina Tech senior pitcher Joe Parsons.
Aldrete is headed to San Jose State while Grim has a ride to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Jensen is headed to USC.
My guess is if all three last beyond the first 30 rounds, going to college with a paid education to pitch will be their choice.
