 Is there a coach in college baseball that has done a better job than Palma graduate and Cal manager Dave Esquer?
 Remember, the program was going to be terminated at the end of the spring (since saved) for budget cuts. Now it's playing in the College World Series.
 Esquer, who former three-sport standout at Palma, kept this group together through the turmoil, turning Cal into one of the best programs in the nation.
