Former North Salinas High and Olympic sprinter Alvin Harrison will spend 180 days in jail after pleading guilty to DUI charges in Orange County.
Harrison, who took a handful of athletes to a meet in Orange County as the Gilroy head track coach on April 7, was arrested after hitting another vehicle. None of the athletes were in the vehicle.
He was cited for speeding, driving with a suspended license and a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit.
The question to this day is how was Harrison able to rent a car without a license?
