Two outs away from locking up the Tri-County Athletic League title, Palma now finds itself locked in a battle for a share of the title after falling in extra frames to reigning five-time league champion San Benito.
The loss opened up an opportunity for Salinas, who sits one game behind the Balers and Chieftains. Salinas will face Palma on Tuesday.
But for Salinas to grab a share of the TCAL title, it has to beat Palma and hope someone can knock off San Benito. The Balers only league losses this spring have come from Palma and Salinas.
