Monterey isn't going to beat you with power. It doesn't have a bunch of .400 plus hitters scattered in its lineup.
What the MBL champion Toreadores do have is a bunch of players that understand the game -- how to bunt a runner over,  how to execute a hit-and-run, how to come through with a clutch hit.
 Monterey might also have the best defense in the section. It doesn't beat itself. As a result, its pitchers pitch with confidence, not afraid to let opponents swing the bats.
