Guy Dubets

The local community lost a pitching guru with the passing of former Carmel High hurler and Pacific Grove baseball coach Guy Dubets.
The 52-year-old worked with over 50 Division I collegiate pitchers over the course of 30 years, including former Carmel product Mark Williams and Monterey's Gabe and Frank Sollecito.
Current Major League Baseball pitchers JP Howell and Manny Parra also worked under Dubets' tutelage.

John,
With all due respect, this is far too short on Guy. There is so much more to Guy than 3 lines. He was a pioneer in teaching baseball and life to young men. We can try and name all the students he has coached for hours and still forget some. Every kid I've worked with in some way has been touched by Guy. JP just went to the extent of changing his number for Guy. He was much more than a "pitching guru". We constantly read articles that aren't nearly as important.

You can do this John.

Agreed. The hope is to have someone at the service on Saturday.
