 If I'm the Giants and catcher Buster Posey is out for an indefinite period after injuring his angle Wednesday in a brutal collision at the plate, I'd make an immediate trade for the Nationals Pudge Rodriguez.
 Yes, he's past his prime. But Pudge can still be productive at the plate and handles pitchers well. He's a stop gab for a half season. Pennant races tend to rejuvenate aging stars.
 This is still a championship caliber team with that pitching staff. But you can't stand pat, particularly behind the dish.
