It doesn't mean it's a dynasty.
Three new league champions in boys basketball will unfold in the next week while only Carmel repeats as a league champion in girls basketball.
All runs eventually come to an end. Yet, it doesn't mean those squads won't be back. Look at the youth on the Pacific Grove and Palma rosters. They won't be down long.

Palma will dominate next year and the following in basketball. They had too many underclassmen starting and they still held their own. They could do some damage in CSS play-off time this year and may have a shot at state within two years. Any other team starting all those underclass would not slightly be competetive.
Good year for Salinas record wise, but they really haven't played a tough schedule. Unfortunately that will not prepare them for CCS and will probably exit early in their division.
