Statement games

There are three on the menu tonight.
Salinas at San Benito: The Balers sit just one game behind unbeaten Salinas. San Benito is unbeaten at home. Five of its road losses this year have been by four points or less. The Cowboys have not lost to a team in the CCS this year. Salinas beat San Benito in overtime earlier this year in a tournament.
Seaside at Watsonville: A little bit of the anticipation was taken out of this game after Seaside fell to Monte Vista on Monday. However, a Spartans win tonight moves them into a tie for first with the unbeaten Wildcatz. Seaside needs big games from Donovan Salvant and Alex Hodge.
Carmel at Gonzales: Two weeks into the MTAL season and the resurgent Spartans sit just one game behind the unbeaten Padres. Gonzales has a win over Stevenson, who gave Carmel its biggest battle to date in the MTAL.
