Changes afoot for Carmel

Carmel and Salinas have agreed to play each other in Week 3 of next season.
The game will be played at Salinas High Stadium.
Salinas has reached the CCS Division I semifinals the last three years while Carmel has played in two straight CCS Division IV title games.
The deal likely signals the end of the Carmel-Monterey rivalry. Carmel has played Monterey in Week 3 the last two years. But the two-year agreement ended.
