It's not Carmel's fault that it is in the MTAL, where it completed its third straight undefeated league season.
Or the fact that it ran off 10 straight wins, beating four teams that took part in the postseason, including one that played for a CCS title.
As long as Devin Pearson is behind center, no one in the MTAL is going to beat Carmel. And he's got one more year left.
This was not the most gifted team in the area. But it was disciplined. It executed. And it averaged 43 points a game.
