Santa Catalina volleyball

History repeated itself for the Cougars. With it came the heartache of their season coming to an end.
Failure to hold a 2-0 lead for the second straight match saw them fall in five games to Ripon Christian 21-25, 20-25, 25-11, 25-23, 15-6 in the State Northern California playoffs.
The Cougars held a 2-0 lead in the Central Coast Section Division V title match last Saturday before falling in five games to Crystal Springs.
Chalk some of this up to youth and inexperience. This is unchartered waters for Santa Catalina, who played the CCS title match and State Nor Cal match with no seniors.
