Palma football

You can't emulate defending speed in practice.
Valley Christian left Palma gasping for air in a 40-14 win on Saturday
Palma didn't play that badly. Valley Christian was that good.
It converted nearly every third down situation in the first half and stuck a dagger in Palma with scoring runs of 67 and 64 yards. It also held Palma to two first downs in the first half.
The Chieftains will rebound. Those eight sophomores are coming back for the next two years.

Chieftains are going to be very good next season and special (as in elite) in two years. Next season they will have a slew of very good RBs (look for A. Guiterrez to emerge as a star as well as J Meyers, and J Ross). QB spot will be interesting- Villar will be very good, but the soph may get the shot due to his live arm). Defense will be great and line may be better than this year. If they workhard, the sky is the limit with the talent this team will have. They will have decent speed. VC speed impacted Palma's inexperence, but this was also a very good VC team- a top 10 in the stte type team. No reason for Palma to hold their heads down-they played hard to the end and didn't give up which was a great sign. I didn't notice any quit in this team when they were down and could have folded.
