There's a reason to watch Hartnell this year.
No. 1: They're good.
No. 2: There are at least two familiar names lighting up the scoreboard for the Panthers in Monterey graduate Daryl Thomas and Salinas product Kyle Vasher.
Thomas led the team in scoring in a nine-point loss to the state's No. 1 ranked team in City College of San Francisco. The 6-foot-5 Vasher is averaging double digits in the scoring column.
