Football quick hits

A week after a career high 245 yard, six-touchdown rushing effort, John-Wyatt Williams piled up 302 yards and four rushing touchdowns.
In two games, the Monterey senior has 547 yards and 10 touchdowns. And now Williams will face a Seaside squad that gave up nearly 400 rushing yards last week to Palma.

All year Greenfield has tried to divide carries among four running backs. With Daniel Breaux out with a concussion, Jackson Cole stepped in with a 170 yard rushing effort.
With a win over King City, the playoff bound Bruins can set a single-season school record for wins with nine.

Alvarez coach Ralph Ward said back in August that the goal wasn't just to end a 24-game TCAL losing streak, but to make the playoffs.
With a win on Thursday at Alisal, the Eagles could have enough points to qualify for their first postseason trip since moving into the TCAL.
