Depending on how many postseason games John-Wyatt Williams gets, a 2,000 yard season is not out of range for the Monterey tailback, who has 537 yards in his last two games.
Quarterback Ronald Saxton has tossed 26 touchdowns, breaking his single-season touchdown record on 69 fewer attempts for Seaside.
Devin Pearson has tossed 52 touchdowns in two seasons as Carmel's starting quarterback. The record over a two year period is 65, set by Ken Johnston.
King City's defense has 25 interceptions in its six wins, zero in its three losses. I don't see that number growing against a Greenfield offense that seldom puts the ball in the air.
Palma has won eight in a row for the first time since 2002. Monterey and Carmel have both won six straight. Greenfield has won five straight while Salinas has rattled off four straight wins.
