Bay Area champions

Didn't this year's Giants World Series champion team remind you a little of the 1981 49ers Super Bowl title team?
Think about it. No one expected the 49ers to win the Super Bowl coming off a 6-10 season. Who was Joe Montana? Their leading rusher had less than 400 yards on the season.
The Giants were nicknamed misfits for a reason. The only player recognizable to people outside the Bay Area is Tim Lincecum. And that might be for his hair instead of his Cy Youngs.
And if you're old enough to remember the 1975 Warriors NBA title team — yes, Golden State won an NBA crown — name someone other than Rick Barry who played on that team.
