Playing on the road was a thorn in Alvarez's side this year. Falling at Alisal on Thursday cost them a possible playoff spot. The Eagles were just 1-4 on the road.
But major steps were taken this year. A 24-game TCAL losing streak came to an end as Alvarez won its first ever TCAL game. It won four games overall -- one more than the previous four years combined.
The program is stocked with talent. Pride has been reestablished.
