How's this for class.
Carmel coach Golden Anderson took a signed card by the entire team to Seaside coach Al Avila to give to injured tailback Jovahn Lualemana.
That doesn't sound like a coach or human being with no class.
And Salinas head coach Steve Goodbody's son wrote a letter to Lualemana explaining how he suffered the same injury when he was a senior in Idaho.
According to Seaside assistant coach Matt Avila, the letters brightened Lualemana's spirits. The senior suffered a gruesome season ending injury with two broken bones in his leg.

correction the card was from Gregg Johnston and his son Cody.thank you again.
Actually while Cody and I sent Jovahn a card last week, I understand that Coach Anderson and the rest of the Carmel team did something similar. As some of you might know, Jovahn lived in Carmel prior to moving to Seaside and there are a number of kids from Carmel who played youth sports with Jovahn (as well as Matt) and several of us adults who had the pleasure to coach him. Jovahn showed he is a special football player and those of us who have come in contact with him know he is a terrific young man. Recover quickly, Jovahn. - Geoff Johnston
For what it's worth tamasams, Seaside coach Al Avila told me Golden Anderson came over to the school and dropped the card off.
And that's Geoff Johnston, not Craig.
My apologies to Coach Anderson & Carmel High Football team, Jovahn just received his card and is very thankful for everyone's support. He is definitely an athlete who is strong enough to come out of his situation and will quickly recover and will be back on the playing field playing!
While he's out and about, maybe Golden can bring a card over to RLS apologizing for calling timeout with :08 left to score a meaningless TD in a 40-25 game and then going for 2. Nice gesture toward Jovahn. It'd be nice if he carried that class over to his coaching on the field.
Doesn't quite overshadow his lack of class on the field. Especially the lack of respect he shows towards his opponents and the game.
