49ers win

At least we know the 49ers won't go 0-16.
Sunday's win over Oakland might have saved Mike Singletary's job. And it might have kept Alex Smith from going to the bench.
All of a sudden, the 49ers are just two games out of first place.
Still, nearly 150 yards in penalties kept this game close and stalled the offense. That has to be corrected.
But what the 49ers did do well was take care of the ball. Coming into the game, they were minus 10 in turnover ratio.
And Smith was clutch in the fourth quarter.
That's a step forward.
