It's hard to argue about the selection of all-pro linebacker Patrick Willis in 2007. A solid No. 1 draft pick.
But over the last eight days, 2008 first round pick Kentwan Balmer walked out of camp and has since been traded to Western Division rival Seattle for a 2011 late round selection.
And 2009 third round pick Glen Coffee -- Frank Gore's backup -- unexpectedly retired over the weekend.
You build a team through the draft. Seeing high picks walk out of camp is mysterious and concerning.

Are you kidding me? You don't even know the key players this season. Did you even talk to the coaching staff? Senior leadership will carry PG this season. PG 7-3 this year and in the Playoffs. Players to watch: Ofa Hautau, Chris Odell, Timmy Bell, Kellen Gibbs, Jonathon Villarreal and Stefan Rock.
I believe I said PG will be better, didn't I?
