Alisal
The Trojans have proven over the years that they can play with anyone in the Tri-County Athletic League. But the lack of depth in a punishing league has caught up with them the last two years.
Head coach Sunil Smith reminds his players that Alisal reached the playoffs three years ago with just 28 players. This year Alisal has a roster of 38.
No coach gets more with less than Smith. Alisal leaves it all on the field, which is why teams in the TCAL never take them lightly.
Alisal has some parts with a gifted quarterback and dominating lineman. Its size, though, is still a concern to me. Alisal was 0-5-1 against playoff teams last year.
