Golden State's Lin a former CCS champion

Recently signed Warriors free agent guard Jeremy Lin faced North Salinas in the Central Coast Section Division II basketball quarterfinals as a sophomore for Palo Alto High in 2004.
The 6-foot-3 Lin, who lead Palo Alto to CCS Division II titles in 2005 and 2006, and a State Division II crown in 2006, was held to just three points in a 53-52 loss to the Vikings.
Of course, that Vikings team featured current UC Santa Barbara standout Orlando Johnson and former Mississippi Valley State forward Eric Petty, as well as The Herald's Athlete of the Year in Ronnie Drummer.
